The ACTINO Dust test (U.S Patent Pending 18/607.817) uses quantitative microbial detection to identify and quantify actinomycetes bacteria in environmental dust samples from water-damaged buildings. These bacteria produce biotoxins similar to mold mycotoxins but often with greater mass and impact on human health. The test analyzes 40 main actinomycetes species selected for their association with Building-related Disease (BRI) and generates a scoring system: Q1 (9 or below) indicates a healthy building, Q2 (10-15) requires further investigation, and Q3 (>15) suggests Building-Related Illness. Sample collection uses Swiffer cloths or vacuum methods, requiring minimum 10mg of dust powder, with 3-5 day turnaround times.
